Een absolute aanrader!
De Start to Paint was voor mij de beste manier om eindelijk een werkbare en goede uitleg te krijgen over de basistechnieken van het schilderen van miniaturen.
Werner ontvangt je enthousiast en met open armen in zijn prachtige en zeer functioneel ingerichte studio.
Alle theorie over de basistechnieken in de komende lessen, alsook kleurentheorie om een interessante mini op tafel te zetten, komt in de eerste les aan bod. Dit alles gevolgd door een eerste praktijkoefening op een miniatuur.
Alle daaropvolgende lessen zijn pure praktijk, waarbij je samen met Werner de basistechnieken oefent op de door hem voorziene miniaturen. Elke handeling volgt hij op om je bij te sturen waar nodig of om je te voorzien van handige tips en tricks.
De hele lesreeks van, in totaliteit, 6 uren is voorbij gevlogen en lieten mij elke week al uitkijken naar de volgende afspraak. Met een gids als Werner aan je zijde krijg je met de Start to Paint méér dan waar voor je geld.

I took a private lesson in the good looking, new, well equipped painting studio. Werner is a great teacher, paying attention to your way of painting, helping you out with lots of info, theory, practical exercises, available tools to try out, … I went home with lots of tips and tricks. This really made me wanna paint more minis!
Super leerrijk, zelfs voor niet beginners!
Ik volgde onlangs de Start to Paint-lessen en hoewel ik al enkele mini’s had geschildered, waren de lessen ontzettend leerzaam. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die zijn basistechnieken wil verbeteren. Alles wordt helder uitgelegd en er wordt gefocusd op je werkpunten waar nodig, wat echt een verschil maakt!

Took some lessons to help me improve my painting skills. The lessons comprised of an excellent mix of theory and painting itself. The direct feedback while painting helped me so much already! I would recommend these lessons to everyone that wants to improve their skills.
Super lessen voor miniature painting
We hebben de start to paint curcus geboekt bij Weke. Het was een super ervaring waar hij heel duidelijk en gestructureerd alle stappen van het schilderen van miniatures uitlegt. De sterkte van deze lessen is dat hij heel gericht advies geeft om je schilderen te verbeteren. Hij is heel goed in het aanleren ervan, we zijn er sterk op vooruit gegaan!

Fantastische ervaring voor een beginner als ik
Vorige maand een enkele sessie één-op-één geboekt bij Wékes Minis. Ik had nog nooit een penseel vast gehad en wou graag leren hoe mini’s te schilderen. Desondanks de vele youtube filmpjes die je kan bekijken had ik liever toch een persoonlijke sessie op maat met iemand die ervaren is. Online de website van Werner gevonden en wat een geluk! Geweldige eerste kennismaking met painting. Ik kreeg antwoord op al mijn vragen en had een superaangename eerste painting sessie om de uitgelegde technieken meteen hands-on toe te passen.
Dit smaakt naar meer! Ik ga zeker nog terug voor follow-up lessen.
Nadien kreeg ik nog een mail met tips en advies wat en waar ik best als beginner koop om thuis te starten.

Included in the course is our studio’s exclusive miniature, specially designed to walk you through a variety of painting techniques. All materials—brushes, paints, and everything else you’ll need—are provided. Classes are held in small groups of up to 4 people at our painting studio in Belgium, so you’ll get plenty of personal guidance throughout the session.
